The Hue & Hair Promise
The place people go to understand their hair.
Understand your hair
Every strand is a structure — cuticle, cortex, medulla. We teach you to read yours before you change it.
Build a routine that works
No twelve-step rituals. A small set of practices, each tied to a measurable property of your hair.
No hype
We are not an influencer account. We cite the biology, show the mechanism, and let you decide.
Section 02 — The Molecular Library
The periodic table of hair concerns.
Four properties govern almost everything about how your hair behaves. Learn them once, and the rest follows.

≤ 30 sec absorption
Porosity describes the state of the cuticle — flat and sealed (low), or raised and gapped (high). It is the single most useful predictor of how your hair will respond to water, oils and treatments.
Section 03 — The Routine Architect
A routine built on the why before the how.
- 01
The Why
Shampoo lifts the cuticle to remove sebum and buildup. For high-porosity hair this lift is already happening — frequent lathering strips the moisture you struggle to keep. Low-porosity hair tolerates more but builds product residue fast.
The How
Cleanse 1–2× per week. Use a clarifying wash monthly only if you use heavy stylers. Focus suds on the scalp, let rinse-water carry them through the lengths.
Biological Tool
Clarifying Shampoo — pH 5.5

About Hue & Hair
We document the biology of hair — not the performance of beauty.
Hue & Hair is an education-first platform. We translate the molecular biology of the strand into clear, visual, actionable guidance — so you can stop guessing and start building a routine that respects the structure you were born with.
- Evidence first
- Every claim traces back to a measurable property of the strand.
- Mechanism over marketing
- We show how a product works on the cuticle, not how it photographs.
- Less, deliberately
- A small routine you understand beats a shelf of products you don't.
